Representatives of the Centre for development of the East planning region, Municipality of Kochani, the contractor and the supervisor of the reconstructed and adapted facility in the center of Kochani, on 28.12.2020 made a technical acceptance of the newly-reconstructed Multicultural Center.
A little more than 260 thousand euros were intended for the reconstruction and adaptation of the former building of the old cinema in Kochani, after which the building got a completely new look.
With the project, the building has a completely new water supply, sewerage and electrical installation, PVC doors and windows, thermal facade, new floors and lighting, security and video equipment, fire and lightning installation. The roof has been changed, the old layers of the walls have been removed inside and new toilets have been built, also adapted for people with disabilities. The commissioning of this facility will give a new dimension to the culture and civic activism in Kochani and the entire East Planning Region.

The reconstruction of the Multicultural Centre is part of the project activities within the project “Our common past – road to the joint future”, co-financed by the European Union within the second call of the INTERREG IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program between Bulgaria and N. Macedonia.
