State amateur film festival of Macedonia

Organized by the Macedonian Film Union and the National Technical Museum of Macedonia, the 52nd State Amateur Film Festival of Macedonia took place on Friday in the hall of the Multicultural Center in Kocani.

The UNICA awards for 2021 and 2022 were received by Vladimir Angelov, the director of the Macedonian Cinemathоgraphy , and Dragan Veljanovski, a director and president of the Academic Film Club, respectively.

The festival was greeted by the President of the Municipality of Kocani, Lazo Mitev, who also presented the awards. Kocani audience attended the screening of amateur films made as part of the festival competition.

Within the festival, the Third School for Non-Professional Film “Stefan Sidovski Sido” was held at the “Krste Misirkov” primary school in Orizari. The workshop for the preparation of short films was conducted by Prof. Dr. Miso Netkov, M.A. Petre Chapovski, Jane Temelkovski, Mitse Chapovski, Dragan Veljanovski, and Pere Mitrev.

The 52nd State Amateur Film Festival of Macedonia was financially supported by the Macedonian Film Agency and realized with the assistance of the Municipality of Kocani.
