Today, in the hall of the Multicultural Center in Kocani, awards were presented to students whose artworks were selected as the most successful in the International Youth Painting Contest announced by the Chinese municipality of Wushi. In the 2022 contest on the theme “Green Development for a Green Future,” out of the 43 students from Kocani who applied, the first prize was awarded to Stefaniјa Atanasova, a student from the “Malina Popivanova” Primary School. Second and third prizes were awarded to 13 more students, and all participants in the contest received gratitude of appreciation and traditional Chinese souvenirs. The participation in the youth painting contest, for the third consecutive year, is coordinated by Aleksandra Dimitrova from the School of Painting and Drawing at the National Center for Culture “Beli Mugri” in Kocani. At the event in the Multicultural Center, piano performances were given by Makarija Ivanova and Jovan Cvetanov, students at the “Risto Yurukov” Primary Music School. This cultural cooperation between Kocani and Wushi continues the relationships between the twinned municipalities since 2016.
