The reconstruction of the Multicultural Centre in Kochani, after a year of intensive construction activities and adapted to the conditions caused by the global pandemic, is entering its final phase.
Most of the construction work has been completed, leaving the interior and air conditioning to be finished in the next couple of weeks. One of the oldest cultural buildings in the city, also known as the old cinema, gets a completely new and modern look.
With the realization of this project, Kochani and the East planning region receive modern premises intended for activities of civic associations and cultural workers, for young creators, space for artistic and exhibitions of cultural and historical significance to this region.
The reconstruction of the Multicultural Centre will bring new energy to the region by creating opportunities for activities that will stimulate learning, support and networking.
The reconstruction of the Multicultural Centre is part of the project “Our common past – road to the joint future”, funded by the European Union within the second call of the INTERREG IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program Bulgaria – N. Macedonia.
